In Partnership with Pride Live, a social advocacy and community engagement organization for the LGBTQ+ community, "RE:GENERATIONS" is a meditation on the reverberations of a movement that ignited just a few blocks away from the New School campus. This exhibition invites you to explore the legacy of the Stonewall Inn as the home of the gay rights movement and epicenter of queer activism. Use this space to share in the story of Stonewall—a place of revolution and regeneration.
Students in the Live Project/Temp Environments had the objective of designing an exhibit for the Parsons School of Design galleries imitating what a student-led exhibit at the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center (SNMVC) would entail. The concept behind the inaugural exhibit focuses on manifold interpretations of the word Regeneration and seeks to create a space to reflect on what “regeneration” might mean to each person passing through.
